Hurricane
Hanna
Hurricane
Hanna 2008
Hurricane
Hanna is currently over the Southern Bahamas and has
temporarily become a Tropical Storm with winds at 70mph.
The storm is located 380 miles southeast of Nassau,
Bahamas. Hurricane Hanna is expected to keep moving
in a west-southwesterly direction and then turn north
toward the continental United States toward Florida,
Georgia and South Carolina.
Hurricane
Hanna has caused several Cruise Ship companies to reroute
their cruise ships in the Carribean. Royal Caribbean
says two Florida-based ships that normally stop at CocoCay,
the line's private island in the Bahamas, will instead
head to Key West, Florida. These ships include Royal
Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas, Majesty of the Seas,
Mariner of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas which departed
from Miami. Norwegian Cruise Line's affected ships include
Norwegian Spirit and Norwegian Sky. Carnival Cruises
ships include Carnival Miracle and Carnival Legend.
Other affected cruise lines included Holland America.
